Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her initial attempt, she finished second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an agreement to Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for running 200m. The following year, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in her respective events.
